Today i had not much tome because of work... I also have not much to show because alot happend under the hood.
At least i got a minimap working:
I'm very happy with this.
Minimap features:
- updates every seconds to reduce CPU-usage
- shows where the camera is
- can move the camera to a point with left-click
- can send units to a point with right-click
When clicking on a unit, there are now also some options:
- Stop: stops all movement. Unit will not move, even if under attack. (partly working)
- Guard: standard-state. Unit will attack enemies and return to this spot if the enemy flees. (not working)
- Patrol: patroling between two points. (partly working)
- Chase: Chase after enemy, if spotted (not working)
- Flee: Flee, if enemy is spotted (not working)
- Scout: Only interesting if i find time to add fog of war. (not working)
- Retreat: Go to spawn location (working, YAY)
- Search and destroy: find random enemy and go to last known position (more or less working)
This all costs much more time than i feared, but i'm learning alot, so it's perfectly fine :)
At this rate i'll definitly have something more or less pretty at the end of the jam.
